“It all started at a 5000-watt radio station in Fresno, California... “ No really, for me it all started back in the early 80’s while I was living in Los Angeles. I wanted to travel, so I joined the Air Force and became a Radio & Television Broadcaster for AFRTS. I did 20 years with the Blue, and was stationed in Iceland, Italy, Korea, Japan, numerous stateside bases and Ramstein, Germany. I highlight that one because while at Ramstein I visited nearly 40 countries covering the Air Force story. In 2004 I retired, bought an 1887 Victorian in upstate New York, spent the past 3 years restoring it, then once I was done I realized, “Hey, I’m really bored up here in upstate New York”, soooooo here I am back in Europe once again. I arrived in November 2006 and needless to say, I’m not bored anymore and intend on seeing all the other countries I missed the first time!
